About

Welcome to the twenty something life! Chances are if you are stopping by you are friends, family, or just a curious passerby. Regardless, please feel free to look around and explore as I try to create a semi-professional online blog personality. As a aspiring writer and social media enthusiast, I figured creating a blog would not only be the best way to update friends and family about what is going on in my life, but also be a opportunity to talk about what I love most: culture, food, travel, literature, and the overall life as a twenty something living in Washington, DC.

You think being named Katie from a town called Katy, Texas would have traumatized me more as a child. Rather, I found it an excuse to travel to exotic places, study really hard, and become really sarcastic. Previous residences includes Nashville, Tennessee (home of my university years) and Barcelona, Spain (where I left my heart during a glorious 7 month study abroad obsession).  Currently a DC transplant, I would describe myself as I past culture-junkie, literary bohemian, foodie adventurer, social justice advocate, art history enthusiast, sorority girl, wino, and existential addict. Is it wrong that I like to think of myself as all the possible stereotypes of a struggling contemporary heroine in a romantic comedy?

"I want to be the voice of my generation. Or at least, a voice. Of a generation."
